DL.ART Challenge #179 - Mother's Day

Happy Thursday!! Another week is flying by and the weekend is almost upon us :) It's time for a new Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART and the theme this week is one of my favorites to create cards for: Mother's Day :) Use the code l01210 to get 10% off your order at DL.ART!!

For my Mother's Day cards I used papers from my favorite Lemoncraft stack, Neverending Summer. The edges were all inked with Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I stitched the background paper to heavyweight cardstock and distressed the edges with a Zutter DIA.

The layers were each popped up with foam tape for dimension. A Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die peeks out from the bottom layer. The top layers are Memory Box Mansfield Frame dies. The tag is a LaLa Land Stitched Elements die. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). The gorgeous ribbon is Whipped Cream from the Creamy Dreamy Bundle.

This stunning ribbon is my favorite, Pink Champagne from the Vintage Vineyard Bundle. Tucked among the Wild Orchid Craft flowers are Elizabeth Craft Curly Leaves and Impression Obsession Pine Sprigs. The beautiful butterfly is a Memory Box Darla die covered with Sparkle N Sprinkle Crystal Ice.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
2) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
3) Pause, Dream Enjoy Linky - Anything Goes
4) 2 Creative Chicks - Anything Goes
5) Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge - Anything Goes

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your Mother's Day project!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Your gorgeous layers just flow so effortlessly together, and it's amazing how you can visualize those papers on cards like this! I have tons of paper--I wish I could send it to you, and let you have at it, because I can't do this! Simply breathtaking flowers sprays with the loveliest of bows! I could just sit and stare all day at your lovely work! Hugs!

Lisa my friend, you have an outstanding eye for what elements and papers will 'go' together! If you gave me all those elements in a box and told me to, "make one card using all those bits", I would end up with something resembling my trash bin . . . you, end up with a real piece of art!! What an amazing talent you have! Have a great upcoming weekend! Hazel xx

You amaze me that you create all these lush layers on just one card, then you create a few more in different colors! Oh my! Then I have to decide which I like best..and usually never can. Love the old 'vintage wood' on the background, and the CL French Doily was a perfect layer for this wonderful layered card(s). Great layering on the butterfly. I always forget about using the gauze-y fabric you add in so well, to create such a light flowing feeling to your cards. As well as the always gorgeous floral bouquets and ribbons. TFS & Hugs (I couldn't say this as well as Donna did above! But yep, she nailed the feeling about these cards!)
