Time for a Giveaway!!

Happy Friday everyone and happy first day of fall (or spring, depending on where in the world you live :) Gosh, this year is flying by so fast!! It will be Christmas before we know it :) I wanted to share some photos of the beautiful hummingbirds that have spent the summer here. I've taken a ton of pictures, but I haven't had the chance to look at most of them.

I just realized that I didn't process any of the photos of hummers with gorgeous ruby throats. I'll post them soon.

We had an incredible amount of hummers this summer. This isn't the greatest video...it was taken through a screen, but this is just one of four feeders and you can see how many there are (you can really see them if you click full screen). It was a swarm :)

I am going away on vacation today and I won't be able to visit you while I'm gone. I don't want you to forget me, so how about a giveaway??!!

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 - June

Happy Monday and happy first day of summer!! I can't believe it's here already...spring flew by :) This has been such a crazy-busy month for me. I've hardly had a chance to get into my craft room at all and I've pretty much neglected Facebook and I apologize.

I had to find time to participate in Tim's Tag Challenge of 2016. I made the resolution to play along every month and so far I'm 6 for 6 :) I struggled with this month...I didn't have many of the materials Tim used at all. I had to improvise pretty much the whole tag. I decided to make mine a Christmas tag since it will be here before we know it!!

I haven't had time to work on capturing hummingbirds as I would like, but I do have a few shots. Almost overnight, my hummer population exploded and I can barely keep three feeders full. I love the colors of this one but you can't even see the best part...

His beautiful ruby-colored throat. This shot isn't too clear, but you can really see the color.

I love this one because if you look closely you can see her (I think it's a her) tongue sticking out :)

I captured another butterfly but I couldn't figure out what this one was. If there are any Lepidopterists out there, I'd love your help :)

Congratulations, Baby!!

Happy Tuesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of cards to share with you using one of the newest dies from the latest release.

The new Whispers Pacifier die so is adorable!! I paired it with baby themed papers from Lemoncraft for these cards.

Along the top, I used a Whispers Lacey Dots die (not currently in stock). The sentiment is from the Oh Baby set from Joy Clair Stamps. On the DL.ART crinkle ribbon I used a Wee Petites Button die.

I haven't had much of a chance to snap more pictures but I do have a few new birds to share. So in the Birds of My Backyard series, I'll call this one the Woodpecker edition  :)

I'll start with the cute Downy Woodpecker.

Next is the Red Bellied woodpecker. This was one of the first birds I saw when I moved here.

And one of my favorites...a Pileated woodpecker. These suckers are huge.

The turkeys were back in all of their puffed up glory.

So pretty!

I wasn't sure what this tiny little bird was so I did some searching I think it might be a house finch.

And last but not least, an adorable pond frog.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags 0f 2016 - May

Happy Sunday!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!! It's a chilly one here...windy with temps in the low 40's. The month's half over and I already have my tag done for Tim's 12 Tags challenge!!

I followed Tim's instructions HERE. I had a few substitutions but I tried to stick close to Tim's tag. I don't have his Tiny Tattered Florals so I used the Tattered Florals die. The face stamp is from his Nature's Walk set.

The stems stamp is from his Nature's Element stamp set. I used texture paste through Tim's Speckle stencil on the bottom of the tag.

I am entering this in Tim's 12 Tags of 2016 Challenge. I have a few more bird pictures to share with you. It's been raining on and off for days, so I haven't been able to get outside to take pictures. These are more shot through the windows. So, without further ado, bird pics part 2:

This beautiful bird is a Red Headed Woodpecker. There are several different woodpeckers here but this one is the prettiest in my opinion.

This is an American Goldfinch. Such gorgeous yellow color!

My little Chickadee :)

This is a Brown Thrasher. It's hard to see his yellow eye in the photo so...

I blew up the photo. It's not sharp at all but you can see his eerie yellow eye.

And in this tree is an American Cat Bird...no wait, it's just a cat...my sweet baby Calypso :)
