Star Student!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's time for another Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party!! Our theme this week is Back to School. We want to see your projects celebrating the start of a new school year :)

For this card, I distressed the edges with a Zutter DIA. Both of the torn edges are Spellbinders dies, as are the tag, stars and sentiment tag. The crinkle ribbon is from my sweet friend Karen of Little Scrap Pieces.

You Can Pass The Test is from CDD's School Zone stamp set. It was stamped with ColorBox Balloons 6-Color Ink from our sponsor, ClearSnap.

The adorable image is the freebie stamp from July's release. He was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The wings of the bee were colored with a Wink of Stella pen. The tag was inked with a ColorBox Art Dauber from our sponsor, ClearSnap. Star Student is also from CDD's School Zone stamp set.

Die-Versions/Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop

Welcome to the Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop!!

The joint blog hop with Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle begins today (7am EST) and goes until Aug. 17th (5pm EST), so there will be plenty of time to check out all the great projects created by both teams. The theme is Christmas, so you'll get lots of great inspiration for your upcoming Holiday cards.

Die-Versions manufactures low profile dies made right here in the United States and Sparkle N Sprinkle manufactures rubber stamps, glitters, embossing powders, and flocking, also made in the US. This is like a match made in heaven - low profile dies combined with lots of bling!! Doesn't get much better than that.

One winner will receive a Grand Prize consisting of a $50 gift certificate from Die-Versions and a $50 gift certificate from Sparkle N Sprinkle, for a total of $100. The winner will be announced on Aug 17th on both the DV Blog and the SNS Blog as well as their Facebook pages.

In order to be eligible for the Grand Prize, please:
  • Leave a comment on each Designer's blog
  • Follow both companies on Facebook (DV Facebook page; SNS Facebook page) if you haven't already so you can keep up to date on all the latest goings on. (I'm sure that all of the Designers would love for you to Follow them too, but that isn't a requirement to win this prize.)
You should have arrived here from the Die-Versions Blog. If not, you will want to start there and end at the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog. If you get lost along the way, you can go to either the DV Blog or the SNS Blog to see the complete list of participants.

We'd love it if you'd like to leave a comment at either the DV Blog or the SNS Blog telling us which projects were your favorites. :-)

I created two projects for today's hop!!

For the first card, I used the new Whispers Merry Christmas Script die. It was covered with Sparkle N Sprinkle Winter Berry Embossing Powder. Sparkle N Sprinkle's glitters and embossing powders are the best I've ever used!! I absolutely love the coverage and the colors!!

The trees in the background are a SNS Pine Forest stamp. It was heat embossed with SNS Frosted Juniper Embossing Powder and then outlined in SNS Winter White Embossing Powder for snow. The brads were glittered with SNS Silver Dreams Glitter. The button in the center of the bow is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button Die. It was covered with SNS Victorian Christmas Glitter.

For my second card, I created a winter scene using the Die-Versions Shapes Build An Owl die. The clouds were sponged with Stormy Sky Distress Ink. Peace on Earth is a Die-Versions Sweet Wordlet die. It was cut twice, once in black for a shadow and then the second cut was covered with SNS Fire Engine Red Glitter. I used the SNS Pine Forest stamp again - I just love it!! It was heat embossed with SNS Frosted Juniper EP. It's tough to see in the pictures, but I used Ranger Perfect Medium and covered the snow on the bottom of the card with SNS Cloud Nine Microfine Velvet Glitter.

The adorable owl isn't just a decoration...he's also an ornament!! He was velcroed to the front of the card for easy removal. His tree was covered with SNS Victorian Christmas Glitter. The star on top was covered with SNS Silver Dreams Glitter. His eyes were covered with Glossy Accents.

Your next stop on the blog hop is the sweet and talented Patti. We hope you enjoy this blog hop and it gives you lots of inspiration!! Don't forget to leave each of us a comment and follow both Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle on Facebook.

Happy Holidays!!

Happy Wednesday!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog...you can visit HERE. I have a project to share with you today using one of the dies from the latest Christmas in July release.

For my project, I created a bag to hold Christmas treats. The paper is from My Mind's Eye. The bag was created with a We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag Punch. This is the first time I've used it and it definitely won't be the last!! It was easy and fun to use :) For this card, I used the new Die-Versions Whispers Delicate Snowflake die. I love the intricate swirls of this beautiful die. I cut it out of the paper once the sides of the bag had been scored. I then added clear plastic to the back and layered in a white snowflake. The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas Happy Celebrations stamp set. The ribbon and beads are from my stash. Now it's ready to be filled with all kinds of Christmas goodies :)

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - August Linky
  2. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Don't forget to stop back on Friday for the Die-Versions/Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop!! Have a great day :)

Thanks A Bunch

Happy Tuesday, everyone!! I hope your week is going well so far :) It's my turn to share a project with you today on the Craftin Desert Divas blog.

I am featuring the CDD Blooming For You stamp set today. I just love this set - so many fabulous sentiments plus an adorable bear :)

Heavyweight Kraft cardstock from The Paper Studio was used for the base. The papers are from Prima, and the edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA. I did something I haven't done in a while...I stitched the papers on the card. I used a strip of corrugated cardboard on the bottom and dry brushed it with Tim Holtz Picket Fence Distress Ink. The flowers are also from TPS, and I dry brushed Picket Fence on them as well. Floral Vines from Memory Box were cut in vellum and tucked among the blooms, as was hemp twine.

The tag is a Spellbinders Back to Basics tag. I used "Thanks a Bunch" from Blooming for You.

You can purchase this stamp set, as well as all of the stamps at the Craftin Desert Divas Shop. And we would love to see your projects using any of the stamp sets in our Craftin Desert Divas Gallery.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Scratched Up
  2. DL.Art - August Linky
  3. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
  4. Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
