Fantabulous Cricut Harvest Blessings Crawl

Hello everyone and happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! Welcome to A Mermaid's Crafts and the Fantabulous Cricut Harvest Blessings Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!

It's Fall and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to create projects to give thanks for our Harvest Blessings! Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Fall project that includes Brown, Orange and Red – along with at least one Cricut cut.

If you've come from visiting Larelyn at Handmade From My Heart, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE .

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Harvest Blessings" project at FCCB!

For my project today, I decided to make Fall/Thanksgiving decorations!
I cut wood blocks in different sizes for my project. I thought about painting the wood, but I liked the natural look of the blocks, so I kept it. I adhered paper to the front with Mod Podge and then attached rosettes in the same color. "FALL" was cut from Base Camp in DCWV Fall Stack paper. I adhered the letters to the rosettes with foam tape. The two smaller smiley face leaves are from Create A Critter. These blocks are now sitting on my fireplace mantle :)
The turkey was meant to be a table decoration, but my Mom stole him to take to her office :) I cut him from Create A Critter at fit to page, which ended up being 8". I embossed all the different layers and inked them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in walnut. Most of the layers were adhered with foam tape to give dimension. I added googly eyes and cardboard to the back so he can stand. The tag on his hat is a Spellbinders Nestabilities die and the sentiment, "Happy Fall Ya'll" is from K Andrews Design's Fall-O-Ween stamp set! Click HERE to purchase your own set of these awesome stamps!!
I  have blog candy!! All you have to do to be entered to win this awesome 6x6 Madison Avenue paper stack from My Mind's Eye is:
  1. Be a follower of my blog
  2. Leave a comment on this post
That's it!! I will choose a winner on Sunday, November 20.

Now it's your turn! Let's see your Harvest Blessings projects!  Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project and be sure to use the colors Brown, Orange and Red as well!

Next stop… Marlene's blog, at Scrappin Cookie. Go and see what she has in store for you today. And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!

Happy Crawling!

I can see why your mom stole him...he's so cute. Great idea with the wood blocks. That sounds even easy enough for me to try. Just picked up Ribbons and Rosettes on sale at AC Moore. Maybe I'll actually use it! ;)

What a fabulous project, Lisa! I LOVE all the embossing on your turkey! I'm so glad you provided a close-up photo as it really shows the details. And those little leaves at either end are SO cute - and just the right touch!
(I'm not eligible for your giveaway, so if I'm picked, please draw another number and give somebody else a reason to give thanks!!)

Lisa,
Since mom got the turkey can I have the fall blocks. LOL You did such an amazing job on your entire display. I really do love the fall blocks. I can't cut wood any more, I'm on power tool restriction. You almost cut your leg off one time and BAM they take away all your power tools.

Wonderful Thanksgiving decor. I can see why your mother would want it. I recognize the D'vine Swirl embossing but was not sure what embossing was on the other front part of turkey. Thanks for giveaway chance.
