Craft It Up & Link It Up - Buttons, Ribbons, Twine, Brads

To enter my 3 Year Blogaversary Giveaway - click HERE

Happy Monday and Happy St. Patrick's Day!! It's time for another fun challenge at Craftin Desert Divas!! The challenge this week is Buttons, Ribbons, Twine or Brads...we want you to use two. Our sponsors for this challenge are : Too Cute By Jessica - $20; Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons - $10 gift certificate; and Tombow - Permanent Adhesive and Refills.

I've been on a shabby kick lately :) And I couldn't decide which two of the items to use, so I used all four :)

The papers are from Fancy Pants Etcetera paper stack. The edges were distressed with a Zutter Distress-It-All. Follow Your Heart in the bottom corner is a Tim Holtz Remnant Rub. The gem swirl is from Recollections.

The doily is an Xcut die from Docrafts. The flowers are from Prima. The leaves are a Spellbinders Corner Sprigs die, and it was cut in vellum. The buttons, brads and pearls are from my stash.

The tag is a Spellbinders Charmed I'm Sure die. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags 3 set. The ribbon is from May Arts.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Mother's Day or Special Girl
  2. Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday
  3. DL.Art - March Linky
  4. Every Day is an Occasion - March Linky

And please be sure to enter my 3 Year Blogaversary Giveaway!! Thank you to those of you who have already entered!! I am so enjoying seeing all of your adorable baby pictures!!

And finally, three of these flew over my house yesterday. They were really loud and pretty low. I managed to grab my camera before the last one disappeared but the shot isn't the sharpest. I am pretty sure they are Navy Sea Dragon Helicopters :)

My sweetest friend, this is gorgeous! I LOVE those big, beautiful flowers! They're stunning, especially atop the sweet doily. So much elegance. :o) The wispy bow and sweet tag are such a lovely combination. The sparkling accents and white floral arrangement stand out so beautifully against the wooden background. How I adore all this texture! :o) Marvelous design as always, my dear Lisa! I hope you have a beautiful day. :o)

Hugs and blessings,
Karen

Stunning card! Love all the white against the weathered wood background. I think it would be pretty cool to see these flying overhead. I used to love watching the Tom Cats fly over our house when we lived in San Diego.

Lisa, another lovely card! Nice combination of the wood grain motif with the delicate lacey white doily and frilly gauze ribbon. So much texture with the subtle color combo used on this one. Adding in the distressed edging, the transparent button with the rough twine bow, rhinestones..a real WOW effect. (yes, the linens smelled heavenly when they came off the clothes line and onto the bed, and even more so, after a day spend doing yard work & being tired! I miss having a clothes line. Well, not in the winter!). TFS & Hugs. Oh yes, good shot of the chopper too.

I could just ooohhh and ahhhh over your creations all day, Lisa. Another lovely creation, your layers, and flowers and tattered edges, add a woodgrain background and you've stolen my heart…again! Have a spectacular day today…ps…the helicopter is pretty cool huh? I live near several bases so I tend to ignore the awesomeness of the air craft above. Thanks for the reminder to take a minute and look up. :-)

I hate to even say this because these days it's as if I am constantly repeating myself...but we are in the middle of another snow storm tonight! Can you believe that? 8-10 inches of snow...I want to jump on a plane and come back home in JUNE! Hahah! No really, this is ridiculous! Why is Mother Nature so crabby this year :(

This is a beautiful card Lisa! I love everything about it. Great pic of the helicopter, it always makes me nervous when things like this fly over. We had some of the stealth planes fly over our house and circle around one time. There was a plane that was in air space it didn't belong in I think and they were forcing it to land. lol It landed and all was well, some sort of mistake. But it sure was loud and something you don't see everyday! Hugs
