Craft It Up & Link It Up - Bring On The Glitter

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! I have been so hooked on watching the Olympics...I'm going to be so sad when they are over :( It's time for a new challenge at Craftin Desert Divas!! The theme this week is "Bring On The Glitter". Our sponsors are: Too Cute By Jessica - $20; The Robin's Nest - A Packet from Regency Collection; and Timeless Twine - $20.

For my glittery project, I used a Prima Mixed Media Tag, inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink. All of the paper is from Prima's Romance Novel stack...this paper is so beautiful. The scalloped design on the side is a Die-Versions Loopy Lace die. A Die-Versions Brick Background die was used in the background. The crinkle ribbon is from my sweet friend Karen of Little Scrap Pieces.

I haven't used my Julie Nutting Prima Doll stamps lately, and while I (anxiously) await the newest Doll stamps to arrive, I thought I'd glam this one up with glitter :) She was stamped on an old book page and then her outfit was paper pieced, covered in Ranger Glossy Accents and then coated with glitter. She was popped up with foam tape.

The flowers are Spellbinders D-Lites Blooms One and Tree. They too were covered with Glossy Accents and then glitter.

The balloon was cut from the paper and then glittered. I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Little Scrap Pieces - Anything Goes
  2. DL.Art - February Linky
  3. Every Day is an Occasion - February Linky
  4. Just B Creative Crazy - February Linky
Have you seen the news about a Top Secret Announcement at Craftin Desert Divas to be revealed soon??!!

Paper Playtime #16 - Lots of Yellow

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend!! I can't believe how nice the weather has been...temps in the 70's, blue skies. Last year at this time we were having a heat wave with temps hovering close to the 100's. It's been so nice, I just want to be outside, which is bad because it cuts into my crafting time :)

The challenge this week at Paper Playtime is - Lots of Yellow. The sponsor for this challenge is Close to My Heart Consultant Lucy Kelleher. You could win a $10 gift certificate to her online store (must have a USA address) so be sure to link up your yellow projects :)

The next layer is also a Grand Labels One die with paper from Authentique's Essentials collection. The next layer was cut with a Spellbinders Botanical Swirls and Accents die. I cut the paper so the patterns matched and lined up with the layer below, and then popped up the Botanical Swirls with foam tape for dimension.

The center cuts are from the Botanical Swirls and Accents dies, the black layer offset from the pattern paper. The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is from my sweet friend Karen of Little Scrap Pieces. The tag is a Spellbinders Back to Basics Tag, inked with Tim Holtz Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed Distress Inks. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags 2 set.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
