Poinsettia Christmas Tree for Wild Orchid Crafts

Hello, everyone and happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and I'd love for you to stop by if you have time :) Today, I'm sharing a Christmas project with you featuring products found in the Wild Orchid Crafts store.

I picked up a paper mache cone from Hobby Lobby for the base of the tree. I painted it white and then covered it with cheesecloth. Next, I covered it with poinsettias created with Ivory Flower Making Foam.

I love making these flowers!! I decided to leave the natural Ivory color and just ink the bottom layer with Peeled Paint Distress Ink for the leaves. I used a combination of White Double Head Pearl Stamens and Small White Double Head Pearl Stamens.

And here it is all it up :)

Happy Friday, everyone!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend!! I have a few projects to share with you today, all featuring gorgeous Lemoncraft papers.

The first set of cards were made with the incredible new Violet Silence collection!! It's so stunning!! If you haven't entered my giveaway for the collection, click on the link at the top of the post. You have another chance to win by visiting the Lemoncraft Blog. You can always pick this collection, as well as other Lemoncraft papers, ephemera and buttons in my ETSY shop HERE.

For the cards, I used papers from the Violet Silence Basic Stack and the Violet Silence 12x12 Collection.

The flowers were fussy cut from the Vintage Time 017 One Sided Image Sheet.

These flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The ribbon is from DL.ART.

The butterflies were cut from the Vintage Time 016 One Sided Image Sheet.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
2) Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Anything Goes

My second set of cards were created for the November Mood Board Challenge, Tiny Miracles.

I drew inspiration from the colors, the balloons and the sweet pink heart for my cards.

The papers are from the Tiny Miracles collection.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from DL.ART.

The balloons are from Your Next Die, and the top one was covered with Crystal Ice by Sparkle N Sprinkle.

The images of the girls were cut from the papers. I love this one - it reminds me of my sister when she was little...though she was never a hair ribbon or dress-wearing girl!! But the face and hair are totally her :)

I hope you will play along with the Tiny Miracles Mood Board Challenge!! For all the rules, please visit the Lemoncraft Blog HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great weekend :)
