Craft It Up & Link It Up #35 - Summer

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's time for another Craft It Up & Link It Up linky party at Craftin Desert Divas. The theme this week is a fun one - summer. We want to see your summer-themed projects. Our sponsors this week are: CDD - one stamp set; Trendy Twine; Designs on Cloud 9 - $10 G.C.; Papermilldirect - Box of Cards.

Nothing says summer to me like a trip to the beach :) For my card I used Fancy Pants Down By The Shore paper for the background.

The cloudy background was sponged with a handmade cloud template and Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The ocean was inked with TH Salty Ocean Distress Ink, and the sand with TH Gatherd Twigs Distress Ink. The sun peeking through the clouds is a Lil' Inker Small Sunshine die. The button in the center of the twine bow is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button die.

The surfboards were cut with a Taylored Expressions Surfboard die. They were then wrapped with twine from our sponsor Trendy Twine in Blue Berry, Peppermint Stick and Twisted Lime.

The banner is a Spellbinders Ribbon Banner die. It was lightly inked with TH Old Paper Distress Ink. "Ride the Waves" is from the CDD Summer Lovin' stamp set:

You can purchase this awesome set HERE.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - July Linky
  2. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
  3. Sisters of Craft - Anything Goes
  4. Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Anything Goes
  5. Crafty Girls Challenge - Anything Goes
  6. Crafting From the Heart - Anything Goes
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Craftin Desert Divas to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then Craft It Up & Link It Up!! I can't wait to see what you create :)
