It's All About the Candy

Happy Thursday!! Is this week flying by or what?? I have been looking forward to this day for months...today is the huge yearly book sale at the fairgrounds!! It's a toss-up which I love shopping for more - books or crafty supplies!! Today it's all about the books ;) I'm usually on vacation during this time of the year and miss the sale. This will be the first one I've been to in a few years and I can't wait :)

I have a Halloween treat to share with you today :) The base of the candy bar wrapper is heavyweight cardstock from The Paper Studio. The patterned papers are from Recollections.

The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Halloween Potions stamp set. It was heat embossed with Ranger Black Soot Distress Ink. It was stamped on a Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 die. The bat, ghost and spider are from My Craft Spot's Halloween Shapes die set. The spiderweb border beneath the ribbon is a My Craft Spot Fancy Edges Halloween die. The ribbon started out white. It was dyed with Dylusions Black Marble spray (it looks a little greenish in the pictures, but it's definitely black!!).

Quick and easy!! I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. My Craft Spot Challenge #153 - Spooky Treats
2. DL.Art - October Linky
3. Decorate to Celebrate - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Book sales are so much fun! Yes, I do read some electronic books but I still prefer feeling the paper and binding in my hands. Have fun! Talking about fun...the candy wrapper is super fun! I think I would be hesitant to open up the art on the outside because it is great! :)

My sweetest friend, only you could dress up a candy bar so spectacularly! (Spook-tacularly?!) Of course I love the sentiment, which looks amazing on that paper! All of the dies you used are fantastic and their sporadic placement is perfect. :o) The big floofy bow is is gorgeous! This is the best way to ever receive candy... the wrapping is a gift in and of itself. :o) How I wish the book sale had gone sparklier... but if you get to go next year, I hope it's a million times better. Have a blessed night, my treasured friend! And thank you for sharing your sweet treat with us at My Craft Spot!

Hugs and blessings,
Karen
