Hello, everyone and happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and I'd love for you to stop by if you have time :) Today, I'm sharing a Christmas project with you featuring products found in the Wild Orchid Crafts store.
I picked up a paper mache cone from Hobby Lobby for the base of the tree. I painted it white and then covered it with cheesecloth. Next, I covered it with poinsettias created with Ivory Flower Making Foam.
I love making these flowers!! I decided to leave the natural Ivory color and just ink the bottom layer with Peeled Paint Distress Ink for the leaves. I used a combination of White Double Head Pearl Stamens and Small White Double Head Pearl Stamens.
And here it is all it up :)

I don’t think I have the vocabulary to describe just how amazing this is but Wow! It gives such a peaceful feeling, probably due to its gentle colour but it is absolutely stunning and I absolutely love it. Well done Lisa, you are such a talented lady. Wishing you a happy and colourful week. Crafty hugs, Sandra x
Stunning work Lisa! I love the poinsettias:)
Drooooool! Wow Lisa, this is absolutely divine! I decorate with white, natural wood tones and a touch of pale gold, so this is right up my alley! It's so soft and delicate, and would look so beautiful amid any style of decor! Your work with the foamarian is amazing, those poinsettias look so real! I love that you used two different sized of stamens, gives it a more natural look. Just when I thought I couldn't love it any more, blam, it lights up! Stunning Christmas decoration Lisa! Love it!
Still waiting for snow up here. This week I was putting up the Christmas tree and setting out the decorations, and the air conditioner was still running! HELLLLLOOOOOO! It's almost as warm now as it was in August for crying out loud! Isn't mother nature a strange lady! Have a great week, hugs :)

Well, Miss Mermaid, isn't that the most striking poinsettia tree? I love the shapes of the lights you have inserted and especially the warmth of their glow rather than that blaring blue the new lights often give off. It's a lovely home decor piece, with those pearly stamens. Wow wow WOW! thank you for sharing, Lisa! hugs, de

WOW! This is stunning and such a Work of HeArt. Your Pointsettias are divine!! Amazing Keepsake Sweet Lisa...<3
Stunningly beautiful!! I saw this the other day, but finally have time to comment on it, it is truly beautiful. It reminds me of my Mom as several years ago (maybe 25) my Mom's church was going to have a craft sale by the ladies of the church and each one had to make and donate a craft iem. Now my Mom is not crafty at all, but she got a styro foam tree and a spray of silk Poinsettias and made a poinsettia tree. She was getting upset when her tree wasn't selling and saying she knew she wasn't very crafty but I could tell she was hurt, so when she wasn't looking I purchased it and when she noticed it was gone she was so happy. I still have that tree and she has no idea, and probably wouldn't even remember anyhow, she is 90 now and I will never part with that tree, of course it isn't anything like yours, at all, but it just brought back a good memory!
