DL.ART Thankful Thursday #165 - Fall

To enter my blog candy giveaway, click HERE!!

Happy Thursday!! I leave tomorrow for a two-week vacation (the ocean!! Yay!!) so I won't be around to visit you for a while. I have several DT posts scheduled so I hope you will stop by to visit while I'm gone. I'll be by to visit you when I get back :) It's time for a Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART. The theme this week is Fall. Use the code l01210 to receive 10% off your order!!

For the base of these cards, I used papers from DCWV. The top layer is Ranger Specialty Stamping paper. It was stamped with a Darkroom Door text stamp and then heat embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle White embossing powder. It was then inked with Tim Holtz Distress inks in Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon and Spiced Marmalade. The edges were then inked with Walnut.

The tree is from Marianne Designs and it was adhered to a piece of clear plastic so that I could add a shaker behind. The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is St. Tropez Gold from the Tropical Summer bundle. The button is from Poppystamps and the twine is from the DL.ART Shop. The banner is from LaLa Crafts and the sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas Hey Pumpkin stamp set.

This beautiful ribbon is RAO Red from the Newspaper Bundle. This sentiment is also from CDD's Hey Pumpkin stamp set.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Decorate to Celebrate #83 - Fall or Birthday

This is my first post of three...please scroll up for Day 3 of the My Craft Spot Sneak Peeks and the first Scrapy Land Challenge

Happy Wednesday!! It's a busy day on my blog today...this is the first of three posts :) It's time for a new challenge at Decorate to Celebrate. For Challenge #84, we are asking you to create decorations for Fall or Birthdays!! Let's celebrate everything wonderful about falling leaves, crisp evenings, autumn harvest or birthdays with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more :)

For my fall project, I collected twigs from around the yard to make a decorative candle holder. You could use a glass candle holder but I used a can that held crab meat. I painted it black and then adhered the twigs with hot glue. The ribbon is from my stash. The tags are layers of Tiny Doilies dies from My Craft Spot. Fall is from an old K Andrew Designs stamp.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. DL.Art - September Linky

Now it's your turn...head on over to Decorate to Celebrate to see the projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Fall or Birthday project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party - Day 2!!

Welcome to the My Craft Spot Stamp Release party!! I'm so excited to be guest designing for this release!! Each day this week we will be sharing projects to showcase five new stamp sets and four new metal die sets!! Kimberly will have a giveaway every day this week, so be sure to leave a comment at My Craft Spot to be eligible for the daily prize. You'll also be treated to some amazing inspiration from the design team!! The party will end with a blog hop celebration on Saturday, where the full release is revealed and prizes will be given at each stop. Kimberly's new stamps and dies will also be available for purchase beginning that day :)

Today we are featuring the new Fall Leaves stamp set and it is fabulous!! Throughout the week we will also be incorporating the four new metal die sets into our projects as well.

For this card, the patterned papers are from Prima and the solid cardstock is from Tim Holtz. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA.

The awesome sentiment is from the Fall Leaves stamp set. Isn't is fabulous??!! It was embossed with dark green embossing powder. The edges were inked with TH Peeled Paint Distress Ink.

The pumpkins and awesome wheelbarrow are from the Fall Wheelbarrow die set. The wheelbarrow was popped up with foam tape for dimension.

The fall leaves and acorn border are from the Fall Border die set. The leaves were sanded to give a bit of texture. Every other leaf was popped up with foam tape.

Be sure to head on over to My Craft Spot to see the amazing projects the DT has created - I guarantee you will be inspired!! And don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to My Craft Spot:

Also, I had some requests for the template I used for yesterday's coffin treat box. I found the template here:

Coffin Box Top
Coffin Box Bottom
Coffin Box Instructions

It printed out pretty large so I resized it for a smaller version.

I'll see you tomorrow for Day 3!! Thanks so much for stopping by :)
