This is my second post of the day. I am so excited and honored to be a guest designer for the inaugural Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party hosted by Tara of Craftin Desert Divas!! Every other Monday will mark the beginning of a new semi-weekly linky party and you could win fabulous prizes!!

The theme this week is Anything Goes. The sponsors are Close to My Heart Consultant Robin Carroll with a $10 gift card, and our fabulous Linky Party Hostess Tara with a $15.00 Joann gift card. The more you link up, the better chance you have to win. Visit Craftin Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along :)

I am so addicted to my Dylusions sprays, stamps and stencils, they are all I want to work with anymore!! For this card, the paper is heavy-duty watercolor paper from Strathmore. It was spritzed with water and then Dylusions inks in Calypso Teal and Vibrant Turquoise. A Cosmic Swirls stencil from The Crafter's Workshop was placed over the paper and then sprayed with London Blue. The dots from a Dylusions Dotted Flowers stencil was placed over the top and spritzed with water for a ghosting effect. The stamps along the bottom and sides are from Dylusions' Further Around the Block stamp set, as are the hanging vines. They were stamped with Ranger Archival Ink. The blocks on the bottom and sides were colored in with a Tim Holtz waterpen filled with Cut Grass. The vines were colored in with TH waterpens filled with Funky Fuscia and Dirty Martini sprays. The black and white circle stamps are from Paper Wings Productions Art Textures stamp set. Some of the leaves were outlined with a Sakura white Gelly Roll Pen. Ranger Gold Pearl Liquid Pearl drops were added to some of the stems.

The dancing woman stencil is from The Crafter's Workshop. It was filled in with Wendy Vecchi Black Embossing Paste. The sentiment is from the Dylusions Right Word stamp set and adhered with Ranger Glue and Seal.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1.  Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes Challenge
  2.  Sunday Funday #7 - Linky Party

The theme this week is an easy one - Anything Goes!! The winner will receive a $15 gift certificate from The Robin's Nest.

Yellow isn't a color I use very often (grey, either!!), but the color palette for this card is from this week's JustRite Stamps Challenge (see picture below). The cardstock is from DCWV. The base was created with Spellbinders Hexagons dies. A larger Hexagon die was used for the label, as well as a Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three die. The top layer is a Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags 2 die, inked with Mustard Seed Distress Ink. "Just For You" is from JustRite's Thank You Labels 20 stamp set, inked with Versafine in Onyx. The layer was popped up with foam tape for dimension. The ribbon is from May Arts, inked with Mustard Seed Distress Ink.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. JustRite Friday Challenge #61 - Color Challenge (see pic below)

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Challenge

Happy Saturday!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend!! I love my Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, so when Tim announced a challenge, I couldn't wait to play :)

For my project, I created a bracelet, ring and hair band.

The flowers were all cut from Grunge Paper. They were inked with Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade, Broken China, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Rusty Hinge and Tea Dye Distress Inks. Then they were spritzed with water and dried with a heat gun to give them a little shape. The text stamp from TH's Papillion stamp set was inked with Jet Black Archival Ink and stamped over the flower pieces. Once the flowers were assembled, they were spritzed with Perfect Pearls Mist in Heirloom Gold for shimmer.

The bracelet was created from a cardboard ring from a roll of shipping tape. It was covered with TH paper from the Lost and Found stack with Glue and Seal. The flower was attached with hot glue.

The flowers for the hairband were also attached with hot glue.

Two smaller flowers were added on either side of the main flower.

The flowers for the rings were covered with JudiKins MicroGlaze to give it a sheen.

I am entering these in the following challenges:
  1. Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Challenge
  2. Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday - Think Spring

Happy Friday!! I hope you had a great week!! It's time for a Fun Friday Challenge at Little Scrap Pieces :)

The theme this week is Think Spring...which isn't hard for me because every time I step outside to cold and snow, I'm thinking spring :)

The base of the card is black cardstock from The Paper Studio. Watercolor paper was used for the base and the top layer of the Spellbinders Grand Labels Four. The flower stamp is from the Tim Holtz Spring Sprung stamp set. It was stamped with TH Embossing Ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. The watercolor paper was then inked with Barn Door, Tattered Rose and Scattered Straw Distress Inks. The flower stamp was then stamped with Tattered Rose Distress Ink so it looks like they are in the background. The butterfly is from the same stamp set, stamped with Jet Black Archival Ink onto Tim Holtz Stamping Paper and cut out. It was colored with Tattered Rose and Spiced Marmalade Distress Markers and a TH Waterbrush. It was popped up with foam tape for dimension and a strip of crystal gems were added. I have no idea who made the Imagine stamp...it's been in my stash for a while and I had thrown away all the packaging before I started blogging. It was stamped with Tattered Rose Distress Ink.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
  2. Dl.Art Thankful Thursday - Linky Party
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Little Scrap Pieces to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Think Spring project...I can't wait to see what you create :)
