Welcome to the Birthday Wishes Blog Hop! I want to thank you for joining us today for my sweet friend Brenda’s birthday hop! She’s turned a corner to 40 something and she has a lot of wishes right now! Please make sure you leave some bloggy love at all the stops today. If you post on all the hops and follow Brenda's and my blog you will be entered to win some blog candy from her!! And don't forget to wish her a happy birthday!!
If you've just popped in to visit my blog or are reading this via email and you'd like to join our Birthday Wishes Blog Hop, then please start here at the beginning with Rhonda. Brenda’s blog will be the last stop, so make sure you have commented on everyone’s post before you get there! If you are visiting from the amazing Amy of Love to Crop, you are in the right place!
For my project, I made a elephant shaker card and gift bag for the birthday girl! She loves elephants and I had so much fun making these for her!
I used paper from the DCWV Pocket Full of Posies stack. I cut a circle in the base of the card with George and Basic Shapes. The frame is from Elegant Edges and I attached clear plastic to the back. I attached the frame over the hole with foam tape. I used Glossy Accents in the circles around the frame for some dimension. The adorable elephant is from Disney Dreams Come True, and Core Couture paper. I attached crystals with my iRock to his blanket. I punched small circles into holographic paper for the shaker. Two layers of foam tape separate the back paper with the elephant from the card so the shaker effect works. I used a EK Success punch and cut happy birthday from Birthday Cakes. "Today is Your Day" is a K Andrew Designs stamp from her Positive Thoughts stamp set, attached with a Tim Holtz plastic charm and Hobby Lobby ribbon.
I cut this bag from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, and I used the fit to page option. I can't remember what size it ended up. The scalloped circle is a Spellbinders Nestabilities die and I inked the edges with Colorbok chalk. I used my iRock to attach crystals around the perimeter and to the elephant's blanket. The small circle with the sentiment is also a Spellbinder's Nestabilities die and inked with Colorbok Chalk. "Happy" is from K Andrew Designs Winter Wishes stamp set, and "Birthday" is from her Coffee and Tea For You and Me set.
I hope you enjoy the projects I made in your honor, Brenda!

This is so fun and pretty! Love the color combo of pink and purple! Awesome card and gift for your friend! I bet she'll love them!!
This is so cute, love the colors and I noticed the scalloped circle on your haunted house trick or treat bag as well, love that! I am fairly new to scrapping and just bought a Big Kick machine, will the Spellbinders nestabilities dies work on that or what machine do they work on? Can you tell just how green I am at this? I also love how you used the glossy accents and I just bought that and am so anxious to try it! Thanks for sharing!
