"It's a Girl Thing" Turner Syndrome Awareness Inaugural Blog Hop

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Welcome to my project for the "It's A Girl Thing" Turner Syndrome Awareness Inaugural Blog Hop!

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

Nineteen caring Sponsors and eleven DT Members have partnered with us to bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori's TS home page. Thanks for learning About Turner Syndrome.

My TS related project uses a few colors from the TS official color board:

I created these cards to highlight the beautiful sentiment.

I used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, butterflies from Lemoncraft, ribbon from DL.ART and several dies to create the cards.

I created a second set of cards using Die-Versions dies.

Scrapy Land Challenge

Now for a bit about my project:

To create my celebration exploding box card, I used papers from Lemoncraft's Sweet Secrets paper stack, which you can find in my ETSY Store.

The flowers and pearl trim are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The ribbon is from DL.ART. The leaves are Memory Box Fine Cut Leaves, Cheery Lynn Floral Boutique Kit leaves, Frantic Stamper Foliage and Elizabeth Craft Dandelion Fluff dies.

The bottom two layers on each panel are Memory Box Stitched Squares. Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents were used on each corner. Memory Box Stitched Circles were layered on top with foam tape between for dimension.

Celebrate is a Elizabeth Craft Celebrate die, covered with Sparkle N Sprinkle Diamond Dust. It was adhered to a Sue Wilson Pierced Flags die.

For this panel celebrating our 100th challenge, I used numbers from Die-Versions Downhill Font and also cut them in foam for dimension. The top layer was also covered in Sparkle N Sprinkle Diamond Dust. The numbers are on a Sue Wilson Peony Diamond die.

Tucked under the flowers are Elizabeth Craft Designs Leafy Branch leaves, Memory Box Fine Cut Leaves and Frantic Stamper Foliage leaves.

The Memory Box Vivienne butterfly was layered over a Penny Black Doily Trio die.

Tucked under these flowers are Memory Box Fine Cut Leaves, Cheery Lynn Floral Boutique Kit leaves, Frantic Stamper Foliage, Elizabeth Craft Designs Leafy Branch, and Elizabeth Craft Dandelion Fluff dies.

MY PRIZE!!

I am giving away a Lemoncraft Yesterday 6x6 Paper Stack...the latest release from Lemoncraft, and the papers I've used on my project today!! I will ship anywhere :)

MY PROJECT!!

Since we are celebrating Janis' blog birthday, I created two celebrate shaker cards. I've used Lemoncraft's Yesterday papers, which you can find in my Etsy Store HERE. To cut the frame for the shaker, I used a Frantic Stamper Art Deco Frame. Celebrate is a Penny Black Doodles die.

The ribbon is from DL.ART (use the code LF222 for a 10% discount) and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Tucked under the flowers and cut with Lemoncraft Leaves paper (in my ETSY store HERE) are Memory Box Chloe Stems, Sue Wilson Orange Blossom Leaves, and Concord & 9th Layering Leaves. I added prills for texture, too. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the butterflies have been brushed with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss pen for sparkle.

I filled this shaker with Tonic Studios Nuvo Pure Sheen Cross My Heart Glitter.

This one was filled with Tonic Studios Nuvo Pure Sheen Peacock Feathers.

Swing by and see what everyone else on the hop created to help celebrate Pause Dream Enjoy's 10th birthday. You are sure to be inspired. And don't forget to leave a comment on each blog for a chance to win!! Here is the Blog Hop Line-Up:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For my project, I used the new Pretty Blooms (873) stamp set. Aren't these flowers gorgeous??!! I stamped them with Versamark Embossing Pad (VM001) and applied Antiquities Embossing Powder (EP266). The bottom and third layer were embossed with (my favorite) Lana Pink Embossing Powder (EP150).
I used a Medium Tip Nuvo Glue Pen (206N) on the inside lines and sprinkled them with Crystal Ice Glitter (G1058). The flowers were fussy cut with Tonic Spring-Cut Fine Tip Detail Scissors (404) and are popped up with foam tape on a bed of Diamond Dust Glitter (G1116), which was applied over Super Adhesive Sheets (SAS02). It sparkles like crazy!!
I used 1/4" Tear-ific Tape (SAT01) to adhere the layers together and Tonic 7" Titanium Scissors (817E) to cut the lace and ribbon.
The sentiment was stamped with a Versamark Embossing Pad (VM001) and embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder (EP298).
Nuvo Crystal Drops SimplyWhite (651N) were added to the side. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from DL.ART.
