Cheers!!

Happy Tuesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! You only have a few more hours left to enter my 5 Year Blogaversary Giveaway HERE!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a card to share with you using a couple of dies from the newest Die-Versions release.

I love the beautiful new Whispers Peacock die!! Those long, flowing feathers gave me the chance to try out my new Brushos...oh my gosh, I love this stuff!! I could spend hours playing with it...such gorgeous colors!! I sprinkled some Sea Green, Emerald Green, Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine and Turquoise Brushos on watercolor paper and spritzed it with water to get the swirl of colors. A little secret...I cut it from the background paper and then just covered the peacock-shaped hole with the top layer of Lemoncraft paper ;)

I also added a touch so sparkle with a Wink of Stella pen, but it's hard to see in the picture.

The border along the top is a Whispers Loopy Lace die. A Whispers Daisy Flair die was used beneath the flowers. A Wee Petites Button die was used on the beautiful ribbon from DL.ART.

On the inside, I used the new Cheers Curly Word die. I am entering this in the following challenges:

1) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
2) Pause, Dream Enjoy Linky - Anything Goes
3) 2 Creative Chicks - Anything Goes
4) Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes

Scrapy Land Challenge #37 - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful first week of March!! It's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land and the theme this week is Anything Goes PLUS a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from!!

For my cards, I used papers I've been hoarding for months...Pion's Paris Flea Market.

I started with a layer of texture paste through a Prima Flourish Stencil. The center panel was cut with a Frantic Stamper Stitched Photo Card and popped up with foam tape. I used a Frantic Stamper Elementals #12 Oval die to cut the oval. The pretty lattice is a Paper Artist Fancy Lattice die.

The butterfly die along the side is a Die-Versions Whispers Daisy Flair die. Tucked among the flowers are Memory Box Chloe Stem and Fresh Foliage dies, Sue Wilson Grand Vinery, and Impression Obsession Berry Branches. The sentiment was cut with a Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklet 1 die. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

The tiered butterfly is a Memory Box Cascadia Butterfly Trio. The crinkle ribbon is from DL.ART. This sentiment is from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).

Oriental Hidden Garden Card

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions Blog and I have a card to share with you using two of the dies from the newest release, as well as several other Die-Versions dies.

For my card, I created a hidden garden. The gate is the new Whispers Oriental Screen. I cut it out in foam and adhered it to the cardstock for some dimension. Thinking of You is from the Compliments Everyday die. Tucked among the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers is a Whispers Daisy Flair die, which isn't currently in stock.

Open the gate to reveal the beautiful Whispers Geisha taking a stroll with her glittered parasol. She is joined on her stroll with several critters from the Wee-Petites Buggy die set. She's staring at the Whispers Butterfly Garden die (not currently in stock). I used a hole punch on some Velcro to keep the gate closed.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. Little Scrap Pieces - Show if Off Saturday
2. 2 Creative Chicks - Anything Goes
3. Pause, Dream Enjoy Linky - Anything Goes
4. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes

Count Your Rainbows

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend :) It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions Blog and I have a project to share with you using my favorite die from the newest release: Whispers Rain Boots.

The papers are all from Prima. The Whispers Rain Boots were covered in Glossy Accents for that just rained-on look ;) The circular shaker window was cut out with a Party Time Sweet Spot die. The rainbow was created with a Whispers Lacey Dots die. You can't tell in the picture, but the strips were adhered to sticky tape and then the openings were covered with sugar coating for a pretty sparkle. Whispers Daisy Flair dies were adhered under the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. The crinkle ribbon is from 3Girl Jam.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a wonderful week :)

Hat's Off To You!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a card to share with you using the Straw Hat die from the newest release. I also have some information to share with you...I'll do that after I show you my card.

I wanted my new Whispers Straw Hat die to have some dimension, so I cut it four times and then cut the center circles out, popping each layer up with teeny-tiny bits of foam tape. I mounted the hat on a Whispers Heart Burst die so it looks like it has a lacy edge :)

I cut a few Whispers Daisy Flair dies and tucked them among the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. The button on the bow is a Wee Petites Button die. Hat's off to you is from an old K Andrew Designs Fashionable Friends stamp set. Also, I've been sewing on most of my cards again. I had quit for a while because I was always having trouble with the thread. My Mom suggested that I get more expensive thread (I had like the cheapest you could get!) and it made all of the difference!!

This is the first time I've used the new Straw Hat die, so that qualifies for Darnell's NBUS Challenge!! If you aren't familiar with the amazing Darnell or her "Never Before Used Schtuff" challenge, head on over to her blog, DJKardKreations for all the details!! I'm also entering it in Diana's DLArt March Linky party.

NOW, about the info I want to share...I'm going to try something new this week. Real life is seriously cutting into my crafting time and I have less and less time to blog. I've pretty much given up Facebook except for DT commitments already, and I'm still cramped for time. Visiting your blogs is one of the highlights of my day...I love seeing what everyone is creating. However, commenting is taking up between 1 1/2 - 2 hours a day!! I'd been trying to leave comments both in the morning and evening when I get the chance but it is still taking up too much time. So I'm going to see if commenting once a week will work, probably on Sunday. I'll go back and hit all of the projects you've created during the week. I wanted to let you know since I won't be around as often, BUT I will still be around and still comment on your projects :) Thanks for your understanding!! Have a wonderful week - it's almost April :)

Happy Birthday

Happy Friday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions Blog and I have a birthday project to share with you using several Die-Versions dies.

For this card, I used a Whispers Summer Flowers Background die as the base. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA.

The butterflies fluttering about are Wee Petites Buggy dies, and they were covered with sugar coating and popped up with foam tape. Gems were placed on the centers of the flowers.

For the Happy sentiment, I used the largest button in the Wee Petites Button die set. Birthday is a Sweet Wordlet Birthday die. A Whispers Lacy Dots die was placed under the ribbon. It's a little hard to see in the pictures, but Whispers Daisy Flair dies were cut in vellum and tucked among the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. DL.Art - December Linky

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you have fun plans for the last weekend in May (how is that possible??!!) It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I hope you will stop by there to say hi :)

My card today is in celebration of a wedding, featuring dies from the May Wedding Bells and Father's Day release, as well as several other Die-Versions dies. The paper for the card are from Prima's Divine paper stack. For the background of the card, I used the Whispers Bricks Background die, keeping some of the bricks in place. The Celebrate Express Banner was cut twice...once in patterned paper and once in black and then offset for a shadow effect.

Two sizes of Heart Doodles Wee Petites dies were used...one for the sentiment and one that was covered in glitter and added to the top of the gem swirl. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags stamp set. The edges were inked with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. A Whispers Daisy Flair die was cut in vellum and tucked among the flowers. A Wee Petites Button die was added to the center of the bow.

The Whispers The Proposal die was popped up with foam tape for dimension. Gems were added to the dress and you can't tell in the photo, but they were brushed with a Wink of Stella glitter brush so they really sparkle in person :)

For my guest design spot at Scrapping4funChallenges, click HERE!!

Happy Friday, everyone!! Woohoo - the weekend is here!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I would love for you to stop by and say Hi :)

For my project today, I used the new Die-Versions Whispers Wedding Dress die from the May Wedding Bells and Father's Day release. The papers are heavyweight white cardstock from Canvas Corp., and Prima Princess paper stack. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA.

Isn't the dress gorgeous??!! It was cut in gorgeous Retro Silver Lustre paper from The Paper Temptress. The picture doesn't do justice to the shiny finish. The dress was then cut in black for a shadow and pink vellum was added behind. Crystal gems were adorned to the front and it was popped up with foam tape for dimension. The dress was framed with a Prima Shabby Chic Treasures Baroque Frame (love it!!). A Die-Versions Ring of Hearts die is peeking out from the side. It was also adorned with crystals. The flowers are from Prima and a Die-Versions Daisy Flair die was cut in vellum and tucked among the blooms. A Die-Versions Wee Petite Button die was added to the center of the bow.

Always and Forever is from Craftin Desert Divas' Simply Said stamp set. It was heat embossed with Recollections Snow embossing powder.

Love

Happy Friday!! I hope you have fun plans for the first weekend in May!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I'd love for you to stop by and say hi :)

The card I'm sharing with you today uses several Die-Versions dies, including the new Butterfly Border Punch die from the newest release. I started with heavyweight black and white cardstock and distressed the edges with a Zutter DIA.

The yellow paper is from Authentique. It was embossed with a TH Sizzex Regal Flourishes Texture Fade. The edges were distressed as well. The arrow is a Die-Versions This Way Wee Petite die. It was cut once in white and once in black and offset for a shadow effect. It was popped up with foam tape for dimension. "Love" is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags 3 stamp set. The heart is a Die-Versions Heart Doodles Wee Petite die. It was covered with Doodlebug Designs Sugar Coating and popped up with foam tape. The buttons on the bow and the two at the bottom of the page are Die-Versions Buttons Wee Petites dies. The flowers are a mixture of Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts and The Paper Studio. A Die-Versions Daisy Flair die was cut in vellum and tucked among the blooms.

The Butterfly Border Punch die has quickly become my favorite. I cut it with the yellow paper and then embossed the white paper. I then placed the yellow over the white and the embossed butterflies pop right through the cut-outs. I added crystal gems from Recollections. I added a couple of the punched out butterflies to the banners made from crinkle ribbon.
