Happy Friday, everyone!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend :) It's my turn to post on the Die-Verisons blog and I have a couple of cards to share with you using several Die-Versions dies, including my favorite die from the June release - Whispers Hairdo.

The papers for this card are from Bo Bunny. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA. The Whispers Hairdo die was cut in black and then purple for a background. Believe is a Sweet Wordlets die, cut once in orange and once in black for a shadow. The flowers are from Prima and they were sprayed with Dylusions inks to match the papers. The gems are Prima Say It In Crystals.

I have another card to share with you today, using dies from the Shapes Diva Set. The vase and birdcage are from the Shapes Diva Set. Get Well Soon was cut from the Compliments Everyday die set. I cut a big x into the paper and then rolled the edges to reveal the back side of the paper.

And now for my project....

I created a mixed media canvas, using stamps from Be Inspired. I started by adhering torn papers to the background using Claudine Hellmuth Gel Medium. I then dry brushed it with gesso and added pink acrylic paint in random spots, removing some with a baby wipe. Then I brushed white acrylic paint onto bubble wrap and stamped it in places. Several other stamps were used to add depth to the background. Wendy Vecchi White Embossing Paste was used with a Crafter's Workshop Art Is stencil to add the words to the top and bottom of the canvas.

Julie Nutting's Mindy Prima Doll stamp was stamped on watercolor paper and then colored with Prismacolor Watercolor pencils. She was then stamped with a text stamp (this is different for me...I usually stamp them on old book paper, but I wanted a little different look for this one :) Tulle was added for her skirt. She was popped up with foam tape and then outlined with a charcoal pencil to give her some definition. The flowers are mostly from The Paper Studio. Copper wire was twisted to add among the blooms and vellum was cut with Memory Box Floral Vines and Beach Sprigs and tucked in as well.

The wooden banners are from Jillybean Soup. I taped off the sentiment (my favorite!!) and stamped the lines on the banners. They were then embossed with gold embossing powder.

A Prima Junkyard Findings Small Typo Bulb was added to the bottom corner. The silver corner piece is from Recollections.

The butterflies are Memory Box dies and they were coated with Doodlebug Designs Sugar Coating. The banner is a Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Banner. Be Fearless is also from Be Inspired. The gems are Prima Say It In Crystals.

Craft It Up & Link It Up - Mother's Day

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! Spring is definitely here - I saw my first hummingbird of the season on Friday :) It's time for a Craft It Up & Link It Up Challenge at Craftin Desert Divas. Our theme is Mother's Day...we want to see your projects celebrating Moms. Did you get the chance to hop along with us this weekend to see the new release??!! Aren't the new stamps fabulous!! I am using stamps from two of the sets for my project today...a card I created for my amazing Mom :) The papers are from Prima's Princess Paper Stack. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA (I warned you I was addicted to this machine!!) The back layer is a Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight. The circles are Memory Box Large Ringlets Die...love this one!! The next layer is a Spellbinders Captivating Square with a Classic Square Large die used for the cutout. The corner gems are Prima's Say It In Crystals.

The flowers are a mixture of The Paper Studio and Wild Orchid Crafts. Memory Box Floral Vines were cut in vellum and tucked amongst the flowers. Copper wire was twisted and also added. The butterflies are Memory Box dies and they were covered with Doodlebug Design Sugar Coating and popped up with foam tape.

The tag is a Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Flag die. Love You is from the new Simply Said stamp set (I masked off "More") and Mom is from the new Sugar & Spice stamp set (I masked off the "my"). The button in the center of the ribbon is a Die-Versions Buttons Wee Petite die.

Craftin Desert Divas April Release Day 3!!

Welcome to the Craftin Desert Diva's April 2014 Stamp Release Week!!

Are you ready for more sneak peeks??

This is Day 3 of 4 of the April stamp release party!! Each day we will be giving you a sneak peek at one of the four new stamp sets. Then, on Saturday and Sunday, we will have a blog hop with prizes each day. The design team has some amazing creations to start this stamp release party.

Today we are showcasing the Sugar and Spice stamp set. All of the new stamps are 4x6 and Made in the USA. Stamps will be available to order on Sunday.

We have a new Craftin Desert Divas Shop and a Craftin Desert Divas Gallery Facebook group.We would love for you to join us and share your creations with us using Craftin Desert Diva's stamps. In this group we show previews first, have giveaways and much more!!

Here's my project:

For my card, I used papers from My Mind's Eye. The base is a Spellbinders Grand Large Labels die followed by a Large Labels die.

The baby stroller is a Die-Versions Precious Cargo die that was popped up with foam tape for dimension. The tired are adorned with Prima's Say It In Crystals Circles. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The button on the center of the bow is a Die-Versions Button die. The banners on the end are Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Flag dies.

The tag is also a Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Flag die. It's A Girl is from the new Sugar and Spice stamp set.

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful Easter and that the Easter Bunny brought you lots of yummy goodies...or crafty supplies!! It was such a beautiful weekend here - sunny and high 70's. The sunsets were vibrant and gorgeous. The trees are budding, the grass is green...spring may finally be here to stay (knock on wood ;)

I have a springtime in Paris tag to share with you today :) The base is a Prima Mixed Media Tag Pad. The papers are from Prima's En Francais paper stack. The edges were distressed with a Zutter Distress-It-All and inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink. The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is from my sweet friend Karen of Little Scrap Pieces.

I used a Julie Nutting Priscilla w/Top Hat Doll stamp. She was stamped on old book paper. Her black lace was created with heavyweight black cardstock and a stamp from Tim's Floral Tattoo stamp set that was heat embossed with white embossing powder. Tulle was used for her skirt. The sentiment banner is a Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Flag Die. Smooches is from JustRite's Ooh La La French Frills stamp set.

The adorable Poodle is a CottageCutz die. She was covered with Doodlebug Designs Sugar Coating Lily White Glitter and given a collar of crystal gems from Prima's Say It In Crystals.

The flowers are a mixture of Prima and The Paper Studio. Copper wire was twisted and added among the blooms.

The Eiffel Tower is a CottageCutz die and it was adorned with crystals. The larger butterfly is my favorite Memory Box Butterfly die, also covered in Doodlebug Designs Sugar Coating. The smaller butterfly is a punch. The banners are Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets 1 dies, adorned with Prima Say It In Crystals. The side tag is a Spellbinders Address Book die. Ooh La La and Bonjour are from the JustRite Ooh La La French Frills Stamp set.

Happy Birthday Ballerina

Happy Wednesday!! We're halfway to the weekend already!! It really is amazing how fast time flies. I've had this ballerina die for a while and wanted to use her, so I have a birthday card to share with you today :)

I have become completely addicted to my Zutter Distress-It-All. I can't seem to stop using it!! I am going to wear the poor little motor out :) The base paper is heavyweight cardstock from Canvas Corp. The patterned papers are from Prima's Lyric stack

The doily behind the flowers is from XCut. The flowers are a mixture of Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts. I added tulle and string behind and some white crinkle ribbon for the bow. The buttons inside the flowers are Die-Versions Buttons dies. The butterfly is another current obsession of mine. It's from Memory Box. I cut it once in black and once in the Prima paper. The corner gems are Prima Say It In Crystals.

Isn't this wooden banner awesome?? I found them at Joann...they are from Jillibean Soup. The Happy Birthday stamp is from my sweet friend Jo's new Personalize It stamp set. You can find it in her store 3 Twenty Crafts. It was stamped with Versafine Onyx ink.

I wanted to be a ballerina when I was five...I wore my pink tutu everywhere :) This gorgeous ballerina is a Marianne die. She was covered in Martha Stewart Carrera Marble Glitter, popped up with foam tape and balanced on the sentiment flag.
